Cast and Crew

Creator, Writer, and Director

Charles X. Rodriguez

A lifelong fan of stories, history, and so much more, Charles is a Southern California-born creative with a passionate adoration for animation. A university-graduate, Cosmos is not his first project, having completed several short stories, screenplays, and short films. He currently continues his years as a writing editor and tutor with One Brilliant Arc (OBA) and Ampact AmeriCorps.

He is hoping by the time these words reach the public that the Phillies are not doing too bad this season, there is a trailer for Brad Bird’s Ray Gunn, and he has finally completed his pile of new comic books by his bed so he can borrow more from the library.

Senior Staff

Production Manager, Writing Editor

Ceylan Gunduz

Ceylan wanted to become a hermit, but instead her passion for stories got her sucked into helping build a story studio around the power of community connection through storytelling. Starting off as a self-published author and entrepreneur in high school, she graduated to freelance editing and is now the Editor-in-Chief, lead admin, and all-around "Den Mother" for the One Brilliant Arc (OBA) story team.

Her passion is uplifting others to tell a more beautiful story than the one handed to them, a skill she is wonderfully sharing with the Cosmos Production team.

Art Director, Production Advisor

Emily Ronksley

Filmmaker, animator, illustrator, and all-around generalist based in the UK, with a First Class Honours in Animation. She has worked on short films like Super Cool Battle (2026), Spell Syndicate (2025), and is currently finishing a 2-year passion project CORIOLIS (2026).

As a freelancer, Emily Ronksley has collaborated with people across the world, and worked with companies up and down the UK. In her personal work, she enjoys experimenting with as many facets of the art as possible, such as traditional painting, composing music, and storytelling.

Producer, Accountant

Phillip Mann

Phillip Mann is a man of many talents, from managing music bands, singing heavy metal, playing a variety of musical instruments, and running the production necessities on Cosmos. A longtime video game connoisseur, Phillip’s combination of creative enthusiasm, cunning pragmatism, and technology know-how keeps the Cosmos production team afloat.

Being a friend to the Cosmos creator, Charles Rodriguez, since 2009, (both being survivors of the same hellscape high school), Phillip instills his vision for the series going far into every meeting and plan of action.

Composer

Brian Henderson

The Cosmos creator, Charles Rodriguez, has known Brian Henderson since their college years, and he knows he is a better man for it. A masterful and experienced composer across several projects both paid and personal, (including his own wedding dance!), Brian shares Charles’ longtime enthusiasm for filmmaking, which resulted in their first collaboration, their independent 2019 short film, "Any Place is Better". He also shares the distinction of being the first outsider to hear the Cosmos pitch and has dedicated his musical talents to the work ever since.

With his skills only getting better, Brian hopes to achieve his own cinematic dreams and also bring a timeless, beautiful score to Cosmos: he most certainly will.
