Zachiel Blunoik
A short Chimera who speaks little and dryly, is incredibly observant, and searches for his true place in the galaxy: the true hero of the story
The hero of this story. A Chimera of dwarfish height, Zachiel is the brotherly friend to Eddie, serving as the Hirado’s partner on his galactic adventures. Stoic, soft-spoken, remarkably observant, a strategic expert in deductive reasoning, and deeply loyal, Zachiel once had a family of his own on the planet Unom in the Ongeti system.
Long before the Galactic Alliance and Planet Gilia’s terrible conflict that shaped his and so many other’s lives, his original family perished in war, leaving him all alone. He was saved by Reuben and Captain Joy Croc of the TuskHog Gang, who essentially adopted him. In the gang, he met Eddie, who helped form his second family. Through the Ongeti War, he became friends with Rajya Neldina, Eddie’s true love, and became the Hirado’s “sidekick”, some would despairingly say, as the three explored the stars together.
Helping others has given Zachiel a new purpose in life, and yet, he has realized, not his own purpose. Thus, he has melancholically drifted as of late, wondering where his place truly is; what he is meant to do with all he is capable of.
